Douglas Perrett has put together a limited edition book, ‘Wild Things’, showcasing all of the polaroids taken of aspiring models he saw from 2000-2010.
These photographs show the true natural beauty of these girls, so different to how you know them from the catwalk or from adverts.
Perrett, casting director of COACD, saw some of the most famous models and wrote down his first impressions for each of them.
Photographs from the top and Perrett’s first impressions:
Miranda Kerr: “She would always do her castings with her blonde friend, another Aussie who would always get the job. She never booked the jobs.”
Arizona Muse: “Didn’t get at first; Her hair, her face.”
Rosie Huntington Whiteley: “Upbeat character, she seemed to have her eye on the big picture.”
Candice Swanepoel: “Didn’t like her; Found her very Barbie-like.”
Abbey Lee Kershaw: “They kept sending her over to hang out. I wasn’t sure why, neither was she.”
Chanel Iman: “Realized how young these kids are. She needed a hug that day.”
Liu Wen: “Professional, in and out. Class act.”
Hilary Rhoda: “Her first season, they begged her to do my shows. Too tall. She later did Balenciaga that season.”
Elettra Wiedemann : “Meh.”
Daul Kim (rip): “We just connected in a nerdy bloggy kind of way; lots of staring and grunting sounds.
